Maybe you havent hear of it and dont confuse it with a electronic device, this was a very special film. The Notebook is a romantic film set against the backdrop of World War II, based on the renowned best seller by Nicholas Sparks. Directed by Nick Cassavetes, The Notebook stars Academy Award nominees James Garner, Gena Rowlands and Joan Allen along with newcomers Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. In the notebook, Rachel Mcadams plays the role of a Southern Belle. With adaptation by Jan Sardi and screenplay by Jeremy Leven, director Nick Cassavetes really scores with the notebook. Rachel McAdams, who had appeared in The Hot Chick and Mean Girls, precisely carries this film on her shoulders - something she had been expected to do from the period she had landed the role. In the film, a man reads out a narrative from a fading notebook to the woman at a nursing home - played by James Garner and Gena Rowlands separately. A poor, young man and a rich, attractive girl fall in love with each other, get separate during the World War II, then luckily get reunited a few years later, after their lives have taken unlike paths - so goes the story of the notebook. Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling play the role of Allie and Noah - the romantic couple - in this film. Though the character Allie is portrayed as a beautiful and wealthy Southern debutante in the Notebook, Rachel McAdams is actually of Canadian origin! A lot of thought seems to have gone into casting the leading woman in the notebook. Rachel McAdams was actually discovered after a rigorous search by director Nick Cassavetes and actor Ryan Gosling. Despite the presence of veterans like James Garner and Gena Rowlands in the Notebook, Rachel McAdams is indisputably the main attraction in the film. The character played by her is the passionate centerpiece of the film. The good chemistry between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams is evident from the steamy love scenes in the Notebook. Rachel McAdams, the attractive star-on-the-rise, will be a occupied actress hereafter. New beginnings, probability missed and regained, love lost and found - you will find all the ingredients of an epic romantic story in The Notebook. Rachel McAdams has brought life into her role with her stunning looks, alluring smile and spectacular performance. In this age of special effects and action thrillers, is there a place for a sweet romantic story like The Notebook' Rachel McAdams feels there is a require for such a film as there has not been one for a while. Romantic stories will always live and this is one that you should take a look at , go to your best rental store and look for it, you will love it. |
